Early on we considered driving our T's to the Arctic Circle, but quickly dismissed the idea after (a) looking at possible campgrounds and finding none suitable, (b) the availability of gas on the Dalton Highway was woefully poor and very expensive, and (c) perhaps the biggest reason was everything we could find indicated that the road was in very poor condition.  Consequently, we opted to utilize the services of a tour company to take us to the Arctic Circle. We found out that the reports of the road condition were greatly exaggerated!  The road was way worse that we anticipated making for a very rough ride! We did, however, make it to the Arctic Circle and back, but upon our arrival the driver/tour guide looked under his van and noticed fluid dropping onto the pavement!
