Today was a good news bad news day.  The good news is that both cars purred right along all day with no issues other than Brian having to add water to his radiator once. That task comes with the territory when you run with a high speed rear end in the mountains! The chimney that Billy fashioned for Lee's car worked like a charm and his car ran the best it has since leaving the flat plains. The bad news is all about the weather – rain and cold. So cold you could see your breath if standing outside – even at noon!  It's been so cold in this part of the country that even the locals are complaining. Apparently their summer was two weeks ago when they had a week of warm weather. After an early start we arrived at the campground around noon – just in time for a hot lunch in the restaurant, having decided that setting up the camper in the rain could wait til later. Hopefully the rain will end soon and tomorrow will be a drier day.

We were welcomed to the campground by a neighboring camper from near Yosemite in CA. He stopped by mid-afternoon and offered us a hot drink, then later brought over bowls of hot stew that his wife had made from scratch. We've had hundreds of requests for pictures of the cars and camper, but this is the first time anyone offered to share food with us
