Woke up again to some dense fog, and as we wanted to get ahead of the morning traffic through Edmonton, we set out early. Once again the density of the fog lessened five miles down the road and we were able to navigate through Edmonton with only light traffic.

We stopped for breakfast and coffee at a Tim Horton's (for you non-Canadian's it's like a Dunkin Donuts in the lower 48), then on to Lloydminster (the site of the 8" of rain overnight on our way up). Sunny and warm (82 deg. F) when we arrived around noon.

The cell phone we had purchased to use in Canada quit functioning (we could receive texts but could not send any outgoing texts or calls). After a frustrating 30-minute on-line chat with a customer support person, Lee finally had to take the phone to a local SaskTel store. The first store was absolutely no help, but the gal (Kylie) at the second store was able to get the phone working again in just a few minutes.

Back at the campground we both had an interesting visit with our neighbor (Margaret). She's originally from Ireland, but has lived in Canada for 6 ½ years. Prior to that she lived in Australia and New Zealand (2 yrs in one country and 1 yr in the other).. Going to Alaska is on her and husband Greg's bucket list but they haven't made it there yet. "Maybe next year" seems to be their catch-phrase.
