A rather boring and uneventful drive south today. We know we're making progress (i.e. getting farther south) as the temps are going up and the grass is getting browner. Actually we first noticed the grass becoming more brown once we got south of Saskatoon yesterday.

The most and perhaps only interesting thing about our drive today was a buck mule deer standing in a field 25 yds from the highway. It had a nice rack still covered in velvet, but unfortunately, no picture.

We spent the night in the same campground we stayed in on the way up and had several "locals" come up and ask if we were the same folks who were in the local newspaper back in early June! Apparently the paper does get read.

Lee gave his first ride and driving lesson for the trip to an older teenage gal. She was really the first teenager who showed any interest in the T's and Lee had a soft spot for a cute young'un. We're sure it will be the highlight of her summer!
