A short drive that started out quite chilly, but the rain had stopped last evening, the skies were clearing, and the sun was warming everything up. Both cars ran well and we arrived at the campground in late morning, giving both of us time to finish drying things out and do some maintenance on the cars, mostly greasing, oiling, and tightening nuts and bolts. We're approaching 2,800 total miles in a week and a half and I doubt that either of these cars were driven that far in any year during their history!

We also feel that we are the most famous people on the Alaska Highway at this point in time.  We are seeing many people that were at previous campgrounds where we stayed and others who passed us on the highway and are staying at the same campground as us. One man, from near St. Cloud, MN heard about us several days ago when he was in Dawson Creek. He's trailering a Model A pick-up that he built a rather fancy deal on the box – complete living quarters complete with rod to hang clothes.  His problem is that he extended it past the tailgate in the down position and now it's "back heavy" making handling and steering "iffy".
